The best friend of one of the murdered University of Idaho students found his pal stabbed to death in bed, then called 911, rather than one of the surviving two roommates in the house, according to a report.
NewsNation reported Wednesday that Ethan Chapin was found dead in bed with his girlfriend Xana Kernodle by a longtime buddy, who went as far as to check his pulse before calling 911, according to their sources.
Their friend Ben Loy was in a similar predicament. Mr. Loy, 42, was eager to move out of his cramped one-bedroom rental on the East Side of Manhattan. His budget was also around $750,000, and his search had been equally frustrating.
This two-story house had a four-bedroom, two-bathroom unit over a four-bedroom, one-bathroom unit and a finished basement. The friends loved the location and were charmed by the bay windows and big backyard. The ground-floor unit had been recently remodeled, but the upstairs apartment was divided into separate two-bedroom units, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. The basement had also been divided into two rental units. The asking price was $1.2 million, with about $7,000 in annual taxes.
The Reddit user wrote that his friend, Tom, and Tom's fiancée, Kat, are unable to pay their rent after encountering financial issues. They have one of two options: either live with the user who stays close to their mutual friends or stay at Kat's parents' house which is two hours away, making it a difficult commute.
\"If it were only his one, good friend, for a weekend, or a very limited number of days, I am certain the friend would be happy to help,\" she said. \"However, this is not the case. It's a big ask of anyone to change their entire lifestyle. [And to] add to that, the girlfriend does not work and it's basically an invasion of space. As adults, it's our responsibility to find what works best for everyone concerned and it seems that moving back with the parents for a short time is the best option. It is not the friend's responsibility to take care of two grown adults and their pets.\"
